Who Can Become A Recovery Coach? BSC offers Recovery Coach Training to anyone interested in promoting recovery, removing barriers and obstacles on the road to resurgence, and serving as a resource and mentor for those seeking help with or already in the recovery process.
Training Details
A 3-day intensive (subject to change) training program provides future Recovery Coaches with the skills needed to empower, guide, mentor and support anyone who would like to enter into or sustain a lifetime of recovery from addiction. The training covers 15 core strategies that promote personal growth, building healthier relationships, skill enhancement and the professionalism required to become a Recovery Coach. Registration, Payments and Certificates of Completion
The cost of Recovery Coach Training is $200 per person. Community organizations, corporations, businesses, agencies and other professionals are charged a group rate, which is determined after adding up all participants. All students are required to purchase the Recovery Coach Manual in the amount of $50, which includes shipping and handling. A $75 registration fee must be paid when registering for class and is nonrefundable. Please note that the $75 registration fee is subtracted from the $200 class fee. The balance must be paid in full by the first class. Please note that fees are subject to change, and that BSC does not accept checks. BSC accepts debit and credit cards, or cash.
All students who finish the training will receive a certificate of completion from Building Safer Communities, LLC, approved by the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (OASAS) as well as information about and the application from CCAR (Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery) in reference to becoming certified by the state to teach Recovery Coaching worldwide. Please note that all students will receive information about and are required to complete the survey monkey upon completion in order to receive a second certificate and become registered with CCAR (Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery).
