Struggle is inevitable in life. But there is a way to cope and overcome by defining the “IT” you struggle with and doing something about it. You are never too old to learn how to Raise The Bar & Do-It Responsibly® It takes courage to admit your struggle, and even more so to do something about it, and make a positive change.
Let’s discuss “IT”: Do you or someone you know have what it takes to tackle your struggle? Do you have a struggle that you aren’t aware of?
Many of us feel comfortable with instilled morals and values, and never question if it’s the responsible way to live. We learn from those who raised us, peers, social groups and communities. Some are influenced by what they see in movies or on the Internet. There are too many violent movies and videos to count and some not only accept it but welcome it. Social media can also have negative influences. We have many resources to learn from, which for the most part helps us become better people, however, there are some who learn from and feed on negative images and messages.
Let’s discuss “IT”: Do you agree or disagree that if you do not live responsibly and take accountability a dangerous struggle could become your second skin, and you can potentially become a danger to you and those around you?
Many adjust their personality traits more so than not to fit a societal or even a cultural standard, and have the attitude – everyone else does it, so why shouldn’t I. Being empathetic and culturally sensitive toward diverse cultural groups and traditions influences some to: drink alcohol, use illicit substances, deal with spouses physically when there’s a disagreement in regard to exercising corporal punishment to discipline children.
Do you think it’s right or wrong?
Do you agree or disagree that justifying behaviors under the guise of societal or cultural standards make it right, and ignores the struggle?
